24 HOURS OF CYCLING TO ENDURE OR TO ENJOY!

A CELBRATION OF ENDURANCE

Did you ever wonder just how far you could possibly ride your bike in 24 Hours? Delirium gives you the opportunity to answer that question and like a few of the competitors that have gone before you the answer may just surprise you. For some just getting to the 300km mark will be an epic achievement, others will ride chasing the distance markers of Legendary riders like Lee Scurlock, Joel Nicholson, Peter Selkrig and Jessica Douglas. Delirium is the unofficial World Championship of 24 Hour Cycling, however at the end of the day, the real race is against yourself...

CATEGORIES

In addition to the 24 hour solos categories, Delirium features a number of other categories that cater to a very broad range of riders. Elite teams will complete fast lap after fast lap, while participation teams will simply aim to keep a rider on course for each of the 24 hours.  A 12 hour option is available for solo riders or you can put your best friendship to the test as a duo.

THE COURSE

In 2016 Delirium moved to a new course on the picturesque foreshore of Geographe Bay in Busselton, nearby to the iconic Busselton Jetty and Underwater Observatory. The course features a smooth, fast surface and although not overly technical the route requires competitors to concentrate on each of the four turns.

CAMPING

There is ample room for camping on the sidelines with priority given to teams on the start/finish straight. Historically most teams and solo competitors will set up base camps, often going to lengths to outdo their adversaries next door.

NEARBY THINGS TO DO

Nearby the surrounding precinct features restaurants, cafe's, playgrounds, a skate park and the beach for riders who may like to take a dip during the race. Families and support crew are welcome, just don't forget your glow slicks.
